The first Hampshire league match of the season for the Romsey under 14 girls was a treat for the spectators on Sunday. A great team performance ended in a 7-0 win for Romsey against Fleet Hockey club.
After 10 minutes Poller had already scored two goals with impressive work carving through Fleet from the mid field, she scored two more in the game. The Romsey attack was relentless with Williams getting two goals ably assisted by Pimley on the wing who made some wonderful runs showing great stick work and feeding the ball into the D. The final Goal for Romsey came towards the end from Cox in her first showing for the team
Forbes was the rock of the team stopping Fleet breaking through at almost every opportunity and then skilfully feeding the ball back to the attack.
The only real opportunity for Fleet came in the second half but valiant defending from Hebert saved the day, an excellent effort from the whole team.
