Romsey U12 Boys put up a great fight on Sunday against Salisbury. They definitely deserved the 4-1 win for all of the effort they put in. James Fuller had the game of his life; battling in defence and threading some great passes that ripped up the Salisbury defence. Matt Dyer scored the first goal finishing off a lovely pass sent from Harry Croft-Baker. Salisbury fought back though and finished off a good move just before the end of the first third. The second goal came just after the break when Mathew Loveday swept in a rebound after a fierce shot was half saved by the visiting goalkeeper. Salisbury worked hard to level, pushing forward hard but were then vunerable on the break. Morgan Robertson made a good run into the D and charged at the Salisbury keeper and nutmeging him for the third goal. Croft-Baker was again the provider for the 4th drilling a ball into the D which was neatly deflected in by Robertson.
