The Under 14 boys travelled to Trojans and apart from a very sleepy (and hail covered) opening 7 minutes, they arguably controlled the match but ended up on the end of a heavy 5 -0 defeat. It was a game when everything that tried failed, both in defence and attack. If there was a count on the number of chances created then Romsey would have been well in credit but with Trojans playing on the fast counter attack, they regularly pierced the Romsey defence and seemed to score with every meaningful attack.

Despite valiant efforts in midfield from Matchy Lincoln, Tom Croft Baker and man of the match Zack Cooper, the half time score of 3 -0 still gave Romsey hope but the need to press forward to grab a goal caused more gaps at the back and  two more second half Trojan goals completed the scoring.

The chances from the wings created by Art Barcia and Gus Reid fell to Croft – Baker, Ben Davidson and top scorer Charlie Harrigan and all of their many attempts  were either blocked by the defence or saved by the goal keeper, and one attempt from Harrigan even clipped the top of the cross bar.

Their remains one match to go before the end of the season and Romsey need to win that to retain their position in the league.
