Romsey started the game brightly looking to continue their fine run of form. With the guidance of coach Dave Miles from the sideline Romsey began to demonstrate some of the skills they had been working on in training dominating possession.

Romsey created a number of shooting opportunities but their strike force failed to take advantage of them, going into the break all level.
Emily Williams fired up the team at the start of the second half with a fearsome yell and determined to penetrate the oppositions defence Romsey stepped up their press, setting up camp on their attacking 23. Their unrelenting pressure soon paid off when Jade Phillips found Emma Bouchard loose in the D who finished the move with aplomb, timing her shot to perfection.
1-0 up and Romsey continued to apply the pressure and moments later secured their win with a play made at training. Erica Jenner cutting across the pitch with the ball before firing a pass to Kate Olingschlaeger who slid in to slot the ball home.
Romsey created several more chances and the ball hit the net again, Sophie Hurley lead the celebrations but unfortunately the goal was disallowed due to being hit from just outside the D.
A fine start to the season with 3 wins from 3 and with U18 star Gigi Hebert being awarded player of the game the future looks bright for Romsey, starting with the top of the table clash next week against local rivals Winchester.
