💨 Windy Win for Romsey 4s! 💨
Romsey 4s 2 – 1 Swanage & Wareham 3s
A blustery day, heavy showers, and bursts of sunshine couldn’t stop Romsey 4s from claiming a determined 2–1 victory over Swanage & Wareham 3s — making it three wins from three so far this season!
Romsey dominated the first half with confident passing, strong defence, and plenty of attacking play. Swanage were lucky to sneak one past the defence just before half-time (32nd minute), taking the lead against the run of play.
Romsey came out strong after the break — Hannah netted the equaliser (38th minute) after a perfectly timed assist from Charlotte. Then, with ten minutes to go, Captain Coops delivered the winner — a reverse stick rocket from a short corner (59th minute), set up brilliantly by Annie on her return from injury.
Amelia kept Romsey ahead with a great running-out-to-the-ball save, and there was plenty of controlled reverse stick action all over the pitch. Coach Simon was his usual consistent, supportive self on the sideline — giving clear direction and, at half-time, asking for a bit more “grunt”… so we all gave more grunt! 😆💪
Huge thanks to Leisa and Noah for fab umpiring, and to Angela for her first match of the season — great to have her back!
