A hard-fought and frustrating game for the Romsey Ladies 4s, who narrowly lost 2–1 to Southampton 5s.
Southampton took the lead in the first half, but Romsey came out strong after the break, regrouping with coach Simon’s halftime words — “play our game” — ringing in their ears. The message paid off quickly as Angela found the back of the net early in the second half to level the score. 💪
Coops and Hannah made great runs down the wings, while Emma and Lucy worked tirelessly in midfield to keep Southampton under pressure. Despite a solid performance from Amelia in goal — unlucky to concede the second — Southampton managed to sneak ahead later in the half.
It was another windy day (though thankfully not the Celia kind 🌬️😂), and spirits stayed high with some silly shirts worn post-match 👕🤣. The only real disappointment of the day? Discovering that the promised steak pie and chips never appeared! 🥧🍟
