💦 Romsey Ladies 4s vs Poole 2s – The Soaked-Through Showdown at Splashdown! 💦

If there was ever a day to build an ark instead of a hockey team sheet, this was it. The Romsey Ladies 4s arrived in Poole only to be instantly transformed into waterlogged warriors. The rain never let up—truly never—but neither did we.

Romsey burst into action with a dream start. At just 4 minutes, a slick short-corner routine saw Harriet fire home the opener. 🌧️🥅 Then at 8 minutes, a gorgeous passage of play ended with Emma setting up Coops for Romsey’s second. Two goals in the first eight minutes—fabulous hockey, even in monsoon mode.

The defensive heroics were outstanding:

⭐ Sophie produced a fabulous p-flick save—calm, solid, and fully deserving of being awarded the Star Player Trophy. 🏆

⭐ Annie gave us the dive of the season, splashing across the astro like a committed aquatic missile.⭐

⭐ Votes rolled in for Sarah, Charlotte, Emma, Harriet, Sophie, Annie and Jo for relentless effort and brilliant play.

Poole pushed back, scoring at 25 minutes, and again at 63 minutes after halftime. But Romsey dug in deep, battling through puddles, sand, and the occasional small wave to hold the line and keep the score level at 2–2.

Drenched, sandy, and 100% waterlogged, we squelched off the pitch with heads high.

A hard-fought 2–2 draw, a soaking to remember, and team spirit absolutely soaring. 💛💙🌧️✨
