Romsey signed off the hockey year in style with a take-off performance away at Bournemouth, cruising to an impressive 6–0 win 🎄🏑
An unbelievable first half saw Romsey race into a 4–0 lead. This was even more remarkable given the low winter sun, which meant at times we genuinely couldn’t tell who was who – teammates, opponents, possibly even ourselves! Despite the glare, Romsey stayed focused, moved the ball beautifully and made the most of our chances.
The second half brought two more well-worked goals to complete a dominant team performance. At the other end, Amelia was outstanding, pulling off several fabulous saves to keep the sheet clean and thoroughly earning Star Player ⭐
With hockey duties done for the year, the team swapped sticks for sparkles and headed to Captain Coops to celebrate. A Prosecco-fuelled Christmas party followed, complete with Secret Santa surprises, dancing, and a fantastic spread of nibbles kindly brought by everyone 🍾🎁💃
