Romsey Ladies 4s 2 – 1 Trojans 5s

A true team performance saw Romsey 4s turn the game around with determination, togetherness and belief, proving once again that we are greater than the sum of our parts.

After a sunny start (and mercifully no rain ☀️), Romsey found themselves 1–0 down at half time. Despite the scoreline, heads stayed up, half-time sweets did their job brilliantly 🍬, and the message was clear: trust the process and play our game.

The second half was all about teamwork. Romsey came out fighting and dominated possession, showing lovely yellow-to-yellow passing, constant triangles, and real patience on the ball. The press was set perfectly, forcing Trojans backwards and at times across their own goal, leading to errors that Romsey were quick to capitalise on.

The equaliser came from Sarah, rewarding sustained pressure and collective effort. Momentum stayed firmly with Romsey, and the winner followed from a short corner deflected off a defender.

The performance wasn’t without its emotional moment, as Wisey sadly twisted her knee and was carried off the pitch just before the final whistle. In true Romsey spirit, the support from the team was immediate and unwavering. Wisey sends her thanks for the incredible love and support: “Love to you all xx” 💛

Off the pitch, spirits stayed high with burger and chips for match tea 🍔🍟 – leftovers becoming a firm favourite with Annie’s dog, who clearly knows quality when they see it 🐶.

A special mention as well to EJ, moving up to the 3s – well done and best of luck in this exciting new chapter 👏
