🌦️ Friendly Fixture: Romsey vs Trojans – A 4–1 Development Win with Goals, Coaching & a Rainbow 🌈

Romsey hosted Trojans for a relaxed but hard-working development friendly that finished with a confident 4–1 win for the home side. With coaching allowed on the pitch and both teams mixing experience with new faces, it was the perfect chance to learn, experiment and enjoy some good hockey.

Romsey opened the scoring through Angela, who calmly put away the first goal of the match. Not long after, Penny doubled the lead with a tidy finish. The third came courtesy of Bekki, smashing in her first goal of the season — a brilliant moment and loudly celebrated on the sidelines!

Goal number four belonged to Phoebe, who capped off a strong performance with a well-placed shot.

Trojans worked hard and pulled one back, helped by the Romsey quartet of Emma, Hannah, Sarah and Wisey who sportingly swapped shirts to bolster the away side.

On the sidelines and across the pitch, Coops and Jo kept control of the game with solid umpiring, while lots of in-play coaching kept the development vibe strong and supportive.

The weather gave us everything — starting sunny before the rain arrived, and finally treating everyone to a stunning rainbow to finish the afternoon.
