Ice, Sun & Fun: A Cracking Ladies 4s Friendly
The Ladies 4s braved an icy but beautifully sunny morning for a friendly inter-squad showdown, and it didn’t take long for frozen fingers to be forgotten as everyone warmed up with plenty of running up and down the pitch!
It was Vanessa’s Vixens vs Julia’s Sunbeams, and the game was played in great spirit from the first whistle. Julia’s side took a 1–0 lead into half time, thanks to a well-taken goal from Julia herself 👏
The second half saw no further goals, but that certainly didn’t mean a lack of action — there were loads of chances at both ends, plenty of attacking intent, and lots of determined defending. Most importantly, there were happy faces, constant laughter, and a brilliant team atmosphere throughout.
⭐ Star Player for Julia’s side went to Bekki, for her excellent work up and down the wing, causing all sorts of problems.
⭐ Star Player for the Vixens was Annie, with her amazing hits and rock-solid defensive skills — unstoppable stuff!
Best of all, there were no injuries 🙌 and the morning was perfectly rounded off with burger and chips for tea, which was truly the icing on the cake 🍔🍟
Great fun, great hockey, great company.
