Ladies 5th XI vs Poole 2

🏑💛 Ladies 5s – DEBUT MATCH! 💛🏑

What a way to start! Our brand new Ladies 5s took to the pitch for their very first match, travelling away to Poole 2s in Jan’s Fun Bus 🚌😂

A huge welcome to Sarah, Amy Q, Nicky and Judith, playing their very first game (in decades) for the club — and it was fantastic to have Georgie back in defence 💛

The final score was a very respectable 9–0 to Poole 😂🏑 … but honestly, who cares?! Everyone came off the pitch smiling, having given it everything. 💛

We know we have some practicing to do 😂 But there was loads of hard work, determination and some really positive moments throughout the game. For a brand new team playing their first ever match, there was plenty to be proud of — and lots to build on! 💪

⭐ Star Player votes went to Jan, Eleanor, Cat and Amy E — with Jan taking the win! 🏆 Jan had a fantastic game, running all over the pitch and stealing the ball left, right and centre. What a performance! 👏

🛡️ Defensive short corners gave us some great practice too. Big shout-out to Emma J and Arla who stepped in at training during the week to help us work on them 🙌

Special mentions to:

💛 Amy Q – taking on the short corners

💛 Eleanor – a standout performance in defence

💛 Cat – some brilliant saves between the posts 🧤

💛 Amy E – fantastic on-pitch coaching, encouragement and support throughout

🍬🍫 The usual goodies were there, but the chocolate made a rare and very welcome appearance — we don’t normally get chocolate! 😂

A massive thank you to Julia and Bekki, who did a brilliant job in their captain roles, supporting the ladies both on and off the pitch. 💛

And the most important statistic of the day…

NO INJURIES! 😁🙌

So, 9–0? Yep. 😂

Did everyone come off smiling? Yep. 😁

Did everyone give it their best? Absolutely. 💪

Are we looking forward to the next match? Bring it on 🏑
