Romsey really needed to play some red hot Hockey just to keep warm in the bitter conditions swirling around Andover.
Thankfully though, such was the quality of the scintillating hockey produced, there were no casualties to the cold and parents were kept brilliantly entertained.
Cat was the tactical supremo who had to work magic with only 5 outfield players and a heroic goalkeeper. Everybody stepped up, and took part in a real team performance.
Benji in goal showed great concentration and made some fabulous saves.
In the outfield; Ben, Hugo, Camilla, Clara and Anna all showed superb flexibility as they adapted to new positions through the matches.
Clara and Hugo can be proud of some outstanding tackles and great passes. Camilla and Ben drove the team forward with some great runs and both managed to get on the score sheet.
Anna found her mojo in midfield and then really came to life up front, scoring twice, in by far her best tournament performance!
In the end, the results, (3 draws, 3 defeats) hardly mattered. The performance not only demonstrated the players individual abilities and tenacity, but also their maturing team spirit and synergy.
