Ladies 3s (5) vs (0) Portsmouth and Southsea 3s

Scorers: Gladstone (2), Humphreys, Middleton, Bryant

Romsey ladies 3s were convincing 5-0 winners over Portsmouth and Southsea 3s.

Romsey dominated possession from the start and opened the scoring after less than 5 minutes, with Cat Gladstone collecting a pass from Lesley Humphreys to score from the top of the D.

Portsmouth and Southsea had a few sporadic attacks in the first half but Romsey were always the better team, with further goals from Lesley Humphreys, scoring her first goal of the season from a short corner, and Rosie Middleton wrapping up a great first half performance from the whole team.

Romsey continued to dominate throughout the second half. Good build-up play from Rachel Alexander on the right wing lead to a second goal for Cat Gladstone from close range.

Romsey spurned several more chances but finally added a fifth in the dying minutes, with Ruth Manners, Lesley Humphreys and Cat Gladstone interchanging passes down the left to set up Tilda Bryant, who scored her first goal for the team with a powerful shot.

Captain Tash Issacs was delighted with her teams performance. “Not only did we have a full team out, but we played incredibly well. Several different players grabbed their first goals of the season, and everyone is buzzing from the game,”
