A brace from manor the match, Charlie Harrigan allowed the Romsey  boys to get revenge for the 2-1 loss earlier in the season against Winchester at Romsey school on Sunday.

The team once again dominated the match with swift passing across the midfield, led by Ben Davidson, Gus Reed and  Art Barcia, ably assisted by the wing men Matchy Lincoln and Zack Cooper. The  match started at high tempo with Romsey pushing forward at every opportunity but unable to score and there were near misses from Harrigan, Jake Rowland and Barcia when very much against the run of play a Winchester attack down the middle led to a slow bobbling shot somehow going under the foot of goal keeper Hal Cross.

Undeterred Romsey pressed on with full backs Jamie Sanderson, Ollie Bryant and Ed Roberts pushing higher up the pitch and providing good width to the attacks. Eventually the ball fell nicely to Harrigan who turned and drove hard into the bottom corner to score a well earned equaliser.

The second half  was more of the same with the winchester GK either making good saves or shots from the Romsey forwards and midfield going wide of the posts. Eventually the charmed life of the winchester goal ended with only 5 minutes to go when a scrambled shot from the in form striker found its way into the net and after deliberation from both umpires the goal was given.
