Ladies 3s (4) vs (0) Aldershot and Farnham 4s

Scorer: Gladstone, Alexander, Humphreys (2)

Romsey produced a dominant performance against Aldershot, who were made to pay for choosing to play with eleven outfield players and no goalkeeper.

Romsey took an early lead when Cat Gladstone stole the ball from an Aldershot defender who dwelt too long on taking a hit-out.

Rachel Alexander then made it 2-0 shortly before half-time when she reacted first to follow up a blocked shot from a short corner.

In the second half, Romsey continued to play good quality passing hockey, and were rewarded with two further goals from Lesley Humphreys to complete a comprehensive win.

Romsey’s defence were reletively untroubled, but a great performance from youngster Eleanor MacLeod, supported by the experience of Hayley Tucknott and Steph Ash, allowed Romsey to quash any Aldershot attacks.
