A local derby against fierce rivals Trojans opened the season for the boys in this years league and they came away with a comfortable 4 -2 win with braces apiece for Jake Rowland and Tom Croft Baker and in reality the score could have been even higher given the dominance of the team over all parts of the pitch.

Sam Green, making his debut at right back ,had an outstanding game in both defence and attach and the efforts of him Raul Patel, Alex Mills and Jamie Sanderson meant that Trojans attack was thwarted at every occurrence.

Tom Croft Baker and Ben Davidson ran the centre of midfield allowing wingers Art Barcia, Harry Croft Baker and Matt  Loveday the freedom to attack and put multiple crosses in for Rowland and Thomas Edwards, and perhaps the only criticism was that more of the chances were not taken.

Leading 2 -0 at half time, Trojans scored quickly after the break and threatened to come back into the game but a further goal each from Croft Baker and a penalty corner strike from Rowland meant the points and result were safe.
