Another scintillating performance from the U14 Boys away at Salisbury in the Wessex Cup with a resounding 5-1 win which  kept up the wining start to the season.

The first half was particularly good to watch with captain, Tom Croft Baker and Ben Davidson running the midfield and  causing havoc in the opposing D, and the dominance was shown in the 4 -0 half time score, with goals from Croft Baker, Jake Rowland and a brace from Thomas Edwards. In truth there were more chances  which if they had been taken would have led to a more emphatic lead. However in the  second half, Salisbury improved markedly and Romsey only had a goal from a short corner from top scorer Rowland to rely on.

Further chances came and went, created mainly by wingers Matt Loveday, Harry Croft Baker and Art Barcia – all of whom had fine games, as the Salisbury keep battled manfully to keep the score down with fine saves from all of Romsey’s attachers.

This win pushed Romsey in to the quarter finals where sterner tests aait.
