Romsey 4th XI maintained their winning run in a hard fought encounter with Top of the Div 10 table Camberley & Farnborough.

Romsey were quick off the blocks and John Marsh immediately dominated in the centre of the pitch with Ben Manning. Early in the game a combination involving Finn Jones, Manning and Marsh played in Iggy Mason who lcamly rounded the keeper to put Romsey 1-0 up

Captain Pete Cooper marshalled a solid defence of Dave Loescher, Jamie Sanderson and man of the match Ollie Bryant to ensure Alex Buck in goal had a trouble free first half and hold on to their 1-0 lead.

The second half saw Steve Sanderson come on from the bench and Romsey used their young legs to create a number of chances to double their lead. Ben Davidson and Finn Jones had some excellent interplay and got in a number of shots.

Eventually a shot from wide was pushed out and Chris Harwood was quickest to react, he raced on to the ball as the keeper rushed out and coolly lifted it over the keep for 2-0.

Romsey then came under pressure as Camberley fought back, this is where the defence came in to their own and youngsters Bryant and Sanderson kept everything out until a late penalty corner. Buck in goal was unable to keep out the strike but Romsey held out for a 2-1 win.
