The 2nd half saw Romsey convert their superiority into a 2-0 lead when a long pass from Penne Edwards picked out Helen Ford who smashed her shot into the back of the net. Injured Captain Maree Welch said she was delighted with the efforts of her team

Romsey Ladies 2nd XI 2 – 0 Haslemere

Romsey were well worth their 2-0 victory over League leaders Haslemere in their home game on Saturday. With Haslemere pressing hard showing some slick passing  Romsey marked well and snuffed out their younger opponents. Romsey made a number of foraging attacks resulting in both Sarah Harper and Helen Ford hitting the backboards to take a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Haslemere came out swiftly to put Romsey under pressure , but the defence and midfield worked tirelessly with many good tackles to break up thier opponents rhythm, who became increasingly frustrated with their inability to find the back of the net. Thanks to Cathy Hulme who stepped in at short notice to play in goal when stalwart Liz Murray became ill

Next week Romsey play Aldershot and Farnham away as they look to close the 3point gap on League leaders Haslemere

Romsey gained a point in a 1-1 draw away to Yateley on Saturday. In a match that Romsey dominated some early quality attacks saw Romsey take a well deserved lead through Ella Palmer who followed up a rebound off the Goalkeepers pads. Ella Palmer took her first goal well to sweep the ball in off the goalkeepers pads
The 2nd half saw Romsey concede a Penalty Flick to give Fareham a glimmer of hope but that was quickly snuffed out when some excellent passing saw Player of the Match Karen Robinson complete her hat trick, before Ella Palmer, not to be outdone snatched 2 more fine goals !
