We have received the following message from the Hampshire Hockey Association regarding where they are with regard to the final positions for the season that has just been cut short. Basically everyone is waiting for England Hockey to decide what to do at a national level and everything else will flow down.
The full letter from the HHA is as follows:
“I am writing to inform you of the current status with regards hockey in Hampshire as controlled by the Hampshire Hockey Assocation and its leagues.
Today should have seen the final meeting of the HHA Council for the 2019-20 season. This has been postponed until the board of England Hockey have met and agreed on how the EHL season will be concluded.
I therefore wish to advise all clubs that decisions on final league positions within the HWHL and HOL and any promotion and relegation within them will only be made once we have had flow down from EH and the South region. Hampshire Cups are currently likely to be cancelled, but that is subject to full Council confirmation and finals will definitely not be taking place over the weekend of April 25th/26th.
The County AGM scheduled for May 18th, is still planned to go ahead but via a virtual meeting. How we intend to conduct this will be conveyed once we have confirmed the details and viability of this approach.
Please pass this information on to your club members and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Regards,
John Thompson
HHA Secretary”
If you have any questions please contact Emily Dixon, our Club Secretary, who will pass any comments on: [email protected]
